Golf Leagues - Men’s Wednesdays
Interested Teams & Signup:
If you would like to join the Wednesday men’s league, please respond to riverfallsgolfclub@gmail.com with the names of your primary two players along with their emails. We will take committed teams on a first come basis until we fill the 48 total team spots. We will announce when the league is filled and will take a waiting list afterward.
All committed teams will be invited to a mandatory league kickoff meeting on 3-20-24 @5:30 at the River Falls Golf Club. At this meeting we will collect league dues (in full), review the league approach and season plan, and will field any questions from the league teams.
League Season:
League will be 19 weeks in total, starting with a prelim day on April 24th and playing through the championship finals week of August 28th. If the weather permits, we will have a few impromptu weeks of golf before the April 24th league start which teams or players can join for the same rate as a league night.
League will be played as a shotgun with 9 holes of play starting at 5:30PM and will be capped at 48 teams/96players.
Teams:
Two players compete for each team. Each team can have multiple subs play for them and the team is responsible to secure a sub if they are unable to play for a week. Expectation is that we have 100% attendance as that makes the league play more competitive and enjoyable.
League Fees and Greens Fees:
League fees are $200/team, with all funds going towards weekly prizes and year end payouts. Weekly prizes to be awarded to each half (front and back) players with a low net, long drive, closest to the pin, and a bullseye game on each half. We will also have an opt in skins game each week that players can choose to participate in.
Greens fees are $31 per week for cart and green. There is no walking rate for league. If you have a membership, it will cover your greens and cart fees. Membership rates can be seen on our website.
For an additional $10, league players can come as early as 3:30 and can play an extra 9 holes prior to league.
League Approach:
League will be flighted into ~4 groups (divisions), with regular season play consisting of playing the teams in your division. At end of regular season, we will have a playoff with division leaders competing for the overall championship.
We will rely on golf league software for the weekly scoring approach and for keeping and generating league handicaps. Players will be expected to keep score on a mobile device through the software interface or enter the scores on their mobile device after the round. The electronic scoring will be visible and live during play, and league standings will be visible in the software at all times.
